6 Years is Nothing to Eternity

I think I have successfully made it through today with only one super weak moment. My sweet brother earned his angel wings on this day. 6 years ago. It's a day we dread each year because we are reminded of the heartache that we felt on that terrible day; and continue to feel each day.

First, let me tell you about Scott. I could sit here and talk about him forever. My sweet baby brother, so tall and handsome and had a heart of gold. His beautiful smile was one that would light up a room. He was crazy... Yes, he often made stupid decisions and rarely thought of the ramifications. That's what made everyone love him though. Our little life of the party. Even though he had a wild side he loved the Lord more than anything in this world. Scott also loved his family. I'll never forget, about a year or two before he passed away we went into EM Jeans in downtown Conway. He loved dressing nice and nice clothes. I really don't remember exactly why even went in there we were just spending time together shopping. He had very expensive taste, as do I... We come by it honest. Ha!! He ended up buying $180 dollar Rock Revival jeans just because they came with a free pair of headphones that I thought were cute. I had just gotten a job at the radio station and he wanted me to have them. That's just how he was. He didn't care, and would have done anything to help me out or make me happy. 

I just want to remind you... in this life we were given a certain amount of time here on this earth and to live it to the fullest. Spend it with people you love and who love you unconditionally. Spend it on experiences that are unforgettable. Spend it with people who make you happy. Invest in people who you enjoy to see happy. 

Your life is made of two dates and a dash. Make the most of your dash.... We miss you Scott more than anything. It has been 6 years without you by our side; but Savannah said it best... 6 years has NOTHING on eternity. We can't wait to spend eternity with you and our Heavenly Father. It will be amazing...
