Slow or Fast... We're Hauling Sass!

I'm just sitting here in awe and in high heaven... drooling over my dream that finally is to surface. This has been a long 6 months turning the "bee" into a butterfly.

I would say maybe 2 years... 3 maybe? I went to the NFR in Las Vegas and saw a couple of boutiques that were on wheels during the Cowboy Christmas. I was so envious. The next spring, we went to "Junk Ranch" in north west Arkansas where I saw even more boutiques on wheels. I really thought, "Heck, if these stores can do it why in the world can't I?! I can pull a trailer! Let's do this!" So I kept my eyes and ears open for a good deal and continued to save.

See, I am a gypsy at heart. I love to travel. I love to go and do. My rambling soul of course had to settle down. But, at heart, I'm always a wanderer. By opening my "second" store on wheels I'll be able to do just that. Really though who doesn't love a good ole camper? I remember playing in ours when I was a little girl. It was my castle. We only had it for a short while but I have always been fascinated with them.

After finding this deal, it was just a short drive to Dardanelle where she sat. Talk about a diamond in the ruff! I could see past her yellow exterior and knew she would be the perfect fit for Southern Savvy.

After purchasing in January, I finally got her 2 1/2 months later. The owners took their time fixing some minor framing issues with her. From there, my friend (WHO DOES AMAZING WORK AND IS just an awesome dude in general) Jonathan Shofner painted our girl. You would be surprised at what a fresh coat of paint does. Wonders!

After Jonathan had it for a good bit doing his magic he then took it to my friends James and Crystal Reed who helped me paint, take out the furnace/old fridge, hang the vinyl wallpaper and build a shelving unit. Then, my awesome stepdad did the vinyl flooring. Seeing it starting to take shape inside really was exciting. Especially since I had been starring at her for what felt like was forever.

From there, Ms. Diana Pope made my custom crazy ruffle curtains. I really wanted to go for that mix match crazy bright color "Matilda Jane" look. She made 3 panels in record time. She is amazing, anytime I need a quick alteration to things here at the store, or Myleigh Pearls pageant attire she is my go to. I adore her.

From there, my friend Ali Adcock helped me pickup a few decor items and do some finishing touches on the vinyl on the back. Ali even is here with me right now at the Expo Center getting her hair and makeup done for the fashion show. She is one of my 4 amazing models tonight.

Finally, I wanted to capture all of this hard work and my dream. So I called up my girl crush, and awesome amazing friend Courtney Hollowell. Seriously, though if you need photos made she is worth every mile. She is my soul sister. You can see some of her work here. Without hesitation she was eager to capture some snapshots of our girl... Didn't she do a great job!?

So what is next? From here, you'll see us rolling down the road going from town to town, show to show. I can't wait to take her on the road. This weekend we have made her big debut at the Women Influencer's Market and Expo. From here she still needs a few minor adjustments made with lighting inside and our front seats are currently being reupholstered. She also needs a name. Follow our social media to submit a name for our girl. But other than that, I can't wait for you to follow our journey...
